Specialisations The specialisations
called for in the faculty positions that are advertised in March
/ April 2010 are listed here. There are no departments
within Schools at AUD, only programme areas. Faculty
members are appointed ordinarily to two or more Schools and may
participate concurrently in activities of more than one School,
regardless of the location of their main appointment.
Faculty will teach in undergraduate as well as postgraduate
programmes / courses and supervise doctoral research.
While the School of Undergraduate Studies will have only
undergraduate programmes, all other Schools will have
postgraduate and research degree programmes. Certain schools
like the Culture and Creative Expressions; Design; Law,
Governance and Citizenship; and Business, Public Policy and
Entrepreneurship can offer programmes at undergraduate,
postgraduate and research degree levels. Note that the
number of positions in each School is not specified. The system
of concurrent appointments gives fluidity and sharing of faculty
time across Schools. AUD intends to recruit faculty at
all levels, Assistant, Associate and full Professors, in the
Schools listed below, except that in the School of Human
Ecology, the positions advertised are only of Assistant
Professor and Professor. Minimum / desirable
