Faculty Positions Ambedkar University
Delhi (AUD), a unitary university established by the Government
of the NCT of Delhi in 2008, is mandated to offer undergraduate,
postgraduate and doctoral programmes in the social sciences and
humanities. The University is dedicated to innovative
learning and research through which it seeks to foster social
and economic development while promoting equality and
excellence. The University initiated a postgraduate diploma
programme in Development Studies in 2008-2009 and three full MA
programmes in 2009-2010 through the Schools of Development
Studies, Human Ecology and Human Studies.
We are
presently recruiting faculty (Assistant, Associate and full
Professors) in the schools of Human Ecology; Human Studies;
Undergraduate Studies; Liberal Studies; Culture and Creative
Expressions; Design; Law, Governance and Citizenship;
Educational Studies; and Business, Public Policy and Social
Entrepreneurship.
We invite applications from teachers and
researchers as well as practitioners in non-academic
environments. We intend to recruit and nurture academics
contributing to interdisciplinary knowledge areas as well as
those working in conventional academic disciplines. We follow a
system of appointing a teacher as faculty concurrently in two or
more Schools according to his/her interest and expertise and the
needs of the University.
AUD follows norms of appointment
and service set by the UGC. Reservations will be in
accordance with the rules of the Government of the NCT of Delhi.
Conditions of service, incentives and allowances are similar to
those at Central Universities. Appointments can also be made on
deputation or on renewable contracts for fixed terms.
