International Conference on Digital Archiving


The International Conference on Digital Archiving of Community Knowledge was held at AUD, Dwarka campus from 15 to 18 December 2010. The conference deliberated on systems and methods of collecting, documenting and applying knowledge located and embedded in people and communities.


The conference was organised in collaboration with the Anthropological Survey of India, the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training and funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Key-note speakers were Dr Mark Turin, Director of the World Oral Literature Project, Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, University of Cambridge, Dr Kim Fortun of the Department of Science and Technology Studies, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York, and Dr Kanchan Mukhopadhyay from the Anthropological Survey of India.
