The MBA Admission Test will be held on February 25, 2018, Sunday at 2 pm to 4:30 pm. The test will be consisting of 150 objective type questions in different sections of verbal ability, quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, data interpretation, reading comprehension and general awareness. Every wrong answer will attract negative marking.

Programme Information

The School of Business, Public Policy and Social Entrepreneurship (SBPPSE) was established at Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) in 2012 to promote research and provide professional education and training in the field of Management, Public Policy and Social Entrepreneurship. The School currently offers a 2-year (full time) MBA programme. The School has signed collaborative agreements with the San Francisco State University (USA), the Northampton University (UK) & the Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca (UBB), Romania for student and faculty exchanges.

The candidate must have successfully completed a Bachelor's degree securing at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Disabled (PD). Candidates appearing in the final year of bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. If selected, such candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, provided he/she submits the results fulfilling the criteria to the AUD office latest by 31 August 2018.

Candidates will be admitted to the programme on the basis of combined scores obtained in the written test and Interview. Interested candidates are required to apply by registering online on our website (www.aud.ac.in) and by making payment of Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- in case of SC/ST/PD candidates).

The MBA (full time) is a two years degree programme. Instruction is imparted in 2 semesters each year with a total of four semesters. Students are required to successfully complete courses securing 84 credits of 2 or 4 credits to be eligible for the award of the MBA degree. Out of the 84 credits 44 credits are to be earned through the compulsory foundation courses.

The curriculum has been innovatively designed to bring about change in the way students think and perceive the world around them and will be exposed to experiences in all functional areas of Business Administration. In addition, the programme will deal with issues relating to:

The uniqueness of this programme is based on its approach to business and profit within a holistic context of the wider society and economy. The curriculum is designed to develop professional entrepreneurs and managers with sensitivity towards larger society and environment that is required to create and manage wealth in the contemporary global context.

At the end of the first year, during the summer (April-June), students undergo summer internship in an organisation. Students are required to submit a certificate of completion and satisfactory performance from the host organisation and a project report after the successful completion of the internship. Students earn 4 credits from the successful completion of summer internship.

The schedule of the second year consists of two semesters: Semester III and IV. Each semester is again divided into two slots. In addition to the compulsory courses on Business Law & Corporate Governance, and Strategic Management, students choose electives worth 20 credits in the third semester and electives worth 12 credits in the fourth semester. In semester IV, students also undertake a project study and submit a report carrying 4 credits. Students choose the requisite number of electives from the basket of electives floated by the School before the commencement of each semester. 1.   What is unique about the MBA programme of AUD? 

It is an innovatively designed MBA programme incorporating the latest developments in management education from across the globe.  Apart from the fundamentals of Management and an opportunity to specialize in important functional areas including Marketing, Finance and Accounting, Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour, Operations Management, Economics and Public Systems, the two-year course also exposes students to elements of Public Policy and Social Entrepreneurship, along with an understanding of culture & society in a global context.

2.  When can candidates register for admission to MBA at AUD?  

Interested candidates should visit our website (www.aud.ac.in). Online registration will open on November 16, 2017 and will close on February 10, 2018. Candidates are required to register online by paying application fee of Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ ST / PD candidates). 

3. What are the modes of payment available for payment of application fee?

Fee for application for admission can be paid by Demand Draft (DD)/Cash/ Online. For detail information for each mode refer to the Admission Bulletin.

4. What is the process of filling the on-line application for the MBA programme?

Candidates could go through the detailed instructions given in the Admission Bulletin of the School of Business, Public Policy & Social Entrepreneurship which is uploaded on the AUD website (www.aud.ac.in), MBA Admissions 2018 link.

5. What is the process of admission to the 2-year MBA programme? 

Eligible applicants will be required to take the written Admission Test which will be conducted on Sunday February 25, 2018 at AUD campus, Kashmere Gate  from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The admission test will consist of 120 multiple choice questions (MCQs) on verbal ability and analytical ability. An additional 30 MCQs will be on general awareness.

Based on the scores obtained in the 120 MCQs on verbal and analytical ability, candidates will be shortlisted for personal interview (PI). Interviews for admission will be conducted in the third week of March, 2018. The final merit list shall be prepared using the weighted average of marks obtained in the written test (verbal and analytical ability sections) (60% weightage), personal interview (25% weightage) and marks obtained in the general awareness section of the written test (15% weightage).

6. What is the likely pattern of the admission test? 

The admission test will be of 2.5 hour duration which will consist of Multiple Choice Questions. It is an aptitude test comprising three sections intended to assess the candidate's (i) English Language Comprehension and Verbal Ability; (ii) Quantitative Skills and Analytical Reasoning; and (iii) General Awareness

7. Where can the outstation candidates take the Admission Test?

Outstation candidates can take the test only at Kashmere Gate Campus of AUD, in Delhi. There will be no other centre in Delhi or outside Delhi. 

8. What are the eligibility conditions? 

Candidates who have secured at least 50% of marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Physically Disabled (PD) categories) in a 3-year Bachelor's degree in any discipline are eligible to apply. 

9. Can candidates appearing in the final year examination apply? 

Yes, Candidates who will be appearing in the final year of Bachelor's Degree examination are eligible to apply, irrespective of their percentage of scores obtained so far, provided that they expect to fulfill the eligibility criteria when the results are declared. (Such candidates will be required to provide their final result before 31st August 2018). 

10. How many seats are available in the MBA programme? 

There are 42 seats in total.

11. Are there reserved seats? 

Yes, 85% of seats (36) seats are reserved for candidates belonging to/ graduating from the NCT of the Delhi and the remaining 15% of seats are for candidates from All over India. These 36 seats will be distributed on the basis of the norms of reservation followed by the NCT of Delhi. 

12. What are these different Categories of Seats? 

Each applicant will choose to apply in one of the following Categories: General (Gen); Scheduled Class (SC); Scheduled Tribe (ST); Other Backward Class - noncreamy layer (OBC); Physically Disabled (PD); Children of Defense Personnel killed/disabled in Action (CW); Foreign Nationals not studying in India (FS), Kashmiri Migrant (KM) and Single Girl Child (SGC). 

13. How many seats are available in each category? 

Seats are distributed in the following categories: NCT – 36 (General – 18; SC – 5; ST – 3; OBC –10); All India: 6 (General - 4; SC – 1; ST- 1; No OBC quota for outside NCT) • Supernumerary: PH (1); CW (1); FS (2); KM (1); SCG (1). 

14. Is there any relaxation in eligibility criteria or cut-off marks for General category candidates? 

No relaxation in eligibility criteria is permitted for General category in the MBA programme. 

15. Is there any relaxation in eligibility criteria or cut-off marks for reserved category candidates? 

Relaxation of 5% in eligibility will be allowed to candidates from SC/ST/PD categories. 

16. Are any documents required to be submitted for applying for reserved seats? 

Yes. Candidates applying for reserved seats are required to submit caste/PD certificate from duly recognized authorities. OBC candidates need to submit both caste and noncreamy layer certificate to claim reservation against OBC quota. Creamy layer OBC candidates have to apply as General Category (UR) candidate.

17. What about Physically Disabled candidates? 

Only those candidates who have cleared as PD by an approved Medical Board will be considered for admission under the PD category 

18. What should CW candidates do?

CW (Children of Defense Personnel killed/disabled in Action) candidates need to clearly enclose the category of CW. CW1 (Armed forces including paramilitary personnel Killed/Disabled in Action) candidates will have preemptive claim over all other CW category candidates (such as CW2: Armed forces including paramilitary personnel Killed/Disabled while on Duty) or CW3 etc. Entitlement Certificate only from Secretary, Kendriya Sainik Board Delhi; Secretary, Rajya/Zila Sainik Board; Officer-in Charge, Record Office; and First Class Stipendiary Magistrate is acceptable 

19. What should Foreign Students (FS) do? 

Foreign Nationals studying in India are required to apply as General Category candidate by registering online and making on-line payment. 

Foreign Nationals with Indian degrees (but are not currently staying in India) are required to submit GMAT scores (minimum score of 650) and Foreign Nationals with foreign degrees are advised to submit GMAT and TOEFL scores. 

Foreign nationals who are out of India need should apply via their consulate and embassy (with mandatory GMAT scores). Application in hard copy should be sent to Admissions, Ambedkar University Delhi, Kashmere Gate, Delhi-110006. 

All foreign nationals must hold a student visa valid for the entire period of study endorsed by the Ministry of External Affairs. The degrees of foreign nationals must be recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. There is no quota for NRI or PIO and all such candidates need to apply as General Category (Gen) Candidates. 

20. What is the fee structure for MBA programme? 

The fees for the two year MBA programme payable is INR 2,67,960.00 for Indian Students and INR 4,72,920.00 for Foreign Students;

The fee is payable in two installments. The fees for the first year MBA is payable at the time of taking admission to the programme in April-May 2018 (INR 1, 44,360.00 for Indian students and INR 2, 51,720.00 for foreign students), and that for the second year will be payable at the beginning of the next academic session in July 2019 (INR 1,23,600.00 for Indian students and INR 2,21,200.00 for foreign students).

21. Will the fee be refunded if the candidate withdraws his/ her admission?

If the candidate withdraws his/her admission before July 1, 2018, after deducting INR 1000.00 the remaining amount will be refunded.  However, if the candidate withdraws her/his admission after this date, only the caution deposit of INR 5000.00 will be refunded.

22. Where is AUD campus located and where are MBA classes held? 

MBA classes will be held at the School of Business, Public Policy & Social Entrepreneurship, Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD), which is located at Lothian Road, Kashmere Gate, Delhi -110006.
