Admission Procedure

A few seats are available in the Masters programmes in Environment and Development. Applications are invited for these seats between 23 July, 2010 and 2 August, 2010.
 
Eligibility:
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks (or an equivalent grade) are eligible for admission. SC/ST candidates would be given relaxation of 5%.
 
Admission Procedure:
Admission will be made according to the procedures and guidelines of the University. The University would abide by the reservation policies of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in respect of various social groups and other categories as applicable to institutions of higher education. Applicants claiming the benefit of reservations will have to produce the requisite certificates from the competent authorities.
 
How to apply:
Bulletin of Information and Application Forms will be available from 23 July, 2010 onwards on all working days at the University office from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for Rs 50.  Application forms can also be downloaded from the University website. Completed application forms will have to be submitted along with Rs 200 in cash or a bank draft payable to “Ambedkar University, Delhi” (Rs 100 for SC/ST applicants). Please write your name, the name of the programme applied for and contact telephone number on the reverse side of the bank draft.
 
There is no provision for online submission of applications.
 
Completed applications can be submitted by hand at the University Office or sent by post. Those applying by post must ensure that their application reaches well in time. The University shall not be responsible for any delay on the part of the postal department. Applications will not be entertained after due date.
 
Method of selection:
The final selection for admission will be made on the basis of percentage secured in the Bachelor’s degree examination and performance in Selection Interview. For the MA in Development Studies programme weightage will be given to those with work experience of more than one year in the relevant field.
