Admission Procedure

 

35 students will be admitted to the MA programme in Development studies.

Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognised university with a minimum of 45% marks (or an equivalent grade) are eligible for admission. There is a relaxation of 5% marks for candidates belonging to SC, ST and Physically Handicapped (PH) categories.

The final selection for admission will be made after a written test and an interview.

The Bulletin of Information and application form will be available from May 20-June 20 on all working days at the University office from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The cost of the form is Rs. 300/- (for SC/ST/PH candidates, the cost will be Rs. 100/-). Forms can also be purchased at select places in Delhi. The list of purchase sites will be posted on the University website.

 

Application forms can also be downloaded from the website of the University. Completed application forms which are downloaded will have to be submitted along with Rs. 300/-.  The downloaded forms sent by post must be sent along with a draft for Rs. 300/-  made in the name of ‘Ambedkar University Delhi’ payable at Delhi. For SC/ST /PH candidates the application forms should  be submitted along with draft/cash of Rs 100/-.

 

The completed application can be submitted by hand at the University Office or sent by post. There is no provision for online submission.

 

The last date for submission of applications is indicated in the Schedule for Admission. Those applying by post must ensure that their application along with enclosures reaches well in time. The University shall not be responsible for any delay on the part of the postal department. Applications will not be entertained after the due date.

 

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit. Candidates must consult the website and / or the notice boards of the University for checking their names. These will be available from the date indicated in the Admission Schedule.
