Guidelines
The positions and
areas of specialisation for
the various Schools of Study are available elsewhere on the
website. Kindly go through them before filling the application
form. 1. The University reserves the right to:
· offer a post at a level lower than that advertised, depending
upon the qualifications, experience and performance of the
candidate · draw up reserve panel(s) against possible
vacancies in the future · consider applications received
after the last date · consider “in absentia” candidature of
those who may not have applied or who may have applied but are
not able to appear for the interview · relax any of the
qualifications / experience at its discretion and · not
fill up any of the advertised positions. 2.
Qualifications and other conditions applicable as stipulated by
the MHRD / UGC regulations from time to time.
3.
Relaxation in educational qualifications, experience, age, etc.
in the case of reserved category candidates will be given in
accordance with the rules.
4. The prescribed essential
qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the
same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
Where the number of applications received in response to an
advertisement is large and it will not be convenient or possible
to interview all the candidates, the University, at its
discretion, may restrict the number of candidates to a
reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications / experience
higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
5.
Candidates must attach copies of all documents along with
application in support of their educational qualifications,
teaching and research experience; etc.
6. Applicants
who are in employment should send their application through
their employer. However, they could submit an advance copy to
meet the deadline set for receiving the application.
7.
The number of vacancies are subject to change and the University
reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies
advertised, if the circumstances so warrant.
8.

9.
Incomplete application forms or applications without supporting
documents are liable to be rejected.
10. Filled in
application forms together with copies of testimonials in
support of their claim relating to qualifications, experience,
caste, age etc. for all the posts should be sent to the Dean,
Academic Services, Ambedkar University, Delhi, Sector-9, Dwarka,
New Delhi-11077 OR send it through e-mail as pdf or word

ESSENTIAL
QUALIFICATIONS
Professor An eminent scholar with published
work of high quality, actively engaged in research with ten
years of experience in postgraduate teaching and / or
post-doctoral research at University / National level
institutions including experience of guiding research at
doctoral level.
OR An outstanding scholar with an
established reputation who has made significant contributions to
knowledge. Associate Professor A good academic
record with a doctoral degree or equivalent published work. In
addition, candidates who join from outside the University
system, should also possess at least 55% marks or an equivalent
grade of B in the seven-point scale with letter grades O, A, B,
C, D, E, and F, at the Master’s level. Must have five
years of experience of teaching and / or research excluding the
period spent for obtaining the research degrees and must have
made some mark in the areas of scholarship as evidenced by the
quality of publications, contribution to educational innovation,
and / or the design of new courses and curricula.
Assistant Professor A good academic record with at least 55%
(50% for SC/ST candidates) or an equivalent grade of B in the
seven-point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E, and F at
the Master’s level in the relevant subject from an Indian
University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
Candidates should have qualified the National Eligibility
Test (NET) for Assistant Professors conducted by the UGC / CSIR
or a similar test accredited by the UGC, provided however, that
candidate who have been awarded a PhD in compliance with the
University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure
for award of PhD Degree) Regulation 2009, shall be exempt from
the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET /
SLET for recruitment and appointment as Assistant Professor or
equivalent positions in a University. NOTES: 1.
The above essential qualifications are subject to the
Regulations as received from MHRD / UGC from time to time.
2.
All specific qualifications for different disciplines of study
shall be broadly in accordance with those prescribed by the UGC.
