Prof. Krishna Menon a graduate of Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi, obtained her Masters and M.Phil. degrees from the Centre for Political Studies, JNU and her Ph.D. from the University of Delhi. Her areas of specialization include Political Theory, Indian Government and Politics and Feminist Theory and Politics. Prof. Menon has taught post-graduate courses on Development Politics in India at the University of Delhi and Indian Politics at the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. Prior to this she taught Political Science for twenty five years at Lady Shri Ram College, where she was also the Director of the Aung San Suu Kyi Centre for Peace .She has a long experience of learning and performing Bharata Natyam, Odissi and Mohinyattam. She is a trained Carnatic musician as well, and has worked as the classical dance critic with The Indian Express, New Delhi. Currently she is a regular columnist for The Deccan Chronicle/The Asian Age.

Past Employment

Professor Krishna Menon has taught Political Science briefly at the Indira Gandhi National Open University. Subsequently she taught Political Science at Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi for twenty five years. She has taught additionally at the School of International Studies, JNU and at South Campus, University of Delhi. She was the Director of the Aung San Suu Kyi Centre for Peace at Lady Shri Ram College.
