Eligibility
10 + 2 with 50% marks from a recognised board. Relaxation of 5% will be given to candidates belonging to SC, ST and Physically Disabled (PD) Categories.
The admission will be strictly on the basis of merit as per rules. However, eligibility is a must for consideration of admission.
Meeting the eligibility criteria will not ensure a seat. Merely possessing eligibility qualifications will not entitle candidates to claim admission. They will have to meet the merit criteria decided for each stream and satisfy all the eligibility conditions laid down by the University.
Other specific eligibility criteria for each Bachelor’s Honours Programme are listed under their respective links. Students are advised to carefully understand the same.
Total No. of Seats
There will be 35 seats in each of the seven BA Honours Programmes. There will be a total of 245 seats for all the undergraduate programmes for the academic session 2013-14.
Reservation of Seats
Reservations are provided to the candidates as per the guidelines based on the norms applicable to educational institutions in the NCT of Delhi.

NCT will mean that the student should satisfy at least one of the following conditions:
(i) XII Board is from a School in Delhi (for BA Honours applicants). (ii) The residence of the applicant is in Delhi.
Some seats have been kept aside for the following categories of students. These will be over and above the sanctioned seats in the different programmes of study as per details below:
A maximum of 2 seats per programme would be allowed for Foreign Nationals in each BA programme. Further, the total intake of foreign students in all the seven undergraduate programmes shall not exceed 10. For Admission Details for Foreign Students please refer to the University Bulletin.
Choice of Major
Students will be admitted to a Major of their choice based on the merit list for the Major. It will be possible for students to change their choice of Major during the course of their undergraduate study. This will, however, be based on availability of seats and on satisfying the merit criterion for that Major.
Application Procedure
All applications are computerized; there are no paper application forms.
(The scanned copies should be in .jpg format and should not exceed 50 kb (photograph) and 20 kb (signature). If you choose to apply on-site, you are advised to have the scanned copies of your photograph and signature sent to your e-mail account.)

NOTE: The application process must be completed by 22ndJune 2013 and the Demand Draft paid for application must be submitted in hand or sent by post to reach the University office by 4 p.m. on 22 June 2013.
Selection & Admission Procedure
They will be required to bring their original certificates for verification at the time of admission. They will also have to submit affidavits, both personal and from their parent/ guardian, in the format provided on the website of the anti-ragging regulations.
Students must note that no acknowledgement or any other communication will be sent to individual candidates. Candidates must consult the website and/or the notice boards of the University for checking the status of their application.
